Blue echeveria is an artificial hybrid between E. agavoides × E. pumila var. glauca . in the stonecrop family. The leaves grow in a rosette and are yellow-green with pink-red margins. The rosette will grow to 6 inches across and then freely produce offsets that can be propagated when large enough. It can flower several times throughout the growing season if healthy. Giving this plant a weak fertilizer every 2-4 weeks will help with growth and flowering. It will tolerate temperatures down to 32 degrees F. Blue echeveria is mostly used as a houseplant and needs planted in a well-draining soil mix and placed in a sunny window. The more sun it gets, the more colorful the leaves will be. In warmer climates, it can be used in rock or crevice-type gardens. Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: No significant problems. Do not overwater to prevent root rot.
