'Blue Boa' giant hyssop is a hybrid cultivar in the mint family (Lamiaceae) with deep purple-blue flowers. It is a more compact variety, growing only 2.5 feet tall. Good drainage is important to these plants so use raised beds or containers to provide the necessary drainage if needed. Do not over-fertilize and plant in full sun for best results. The fragrant blooms are spikes of blue-purple tubular flowers and are loved by a great variety of pollinators. You will love the long season of bloom from early summer to frost and the minty smell of the foliage.
