Kaleidoscope is a hybrid rose whose parents are Pink Polyanna™ x Rainbow's End™. Bear Creek Gardens introduced this rose to the United States in 1999. It is a member of the rose family (Rosaceae). This upright vigorous rose is pH-adapted and tolerates most well-drained soils in full sun to light shade. It will usually grow to 2-4 feet tall and wide. The semi-double fragrant flowers are an unusual mauve-to-purple blend in color. It flowers in flushes throughout the season. The dark green foliage has good disease resistance. Prickles are present. This rose can be grown in the ground or a container. Use as a specimen, in a cutting garden or the shrub border. Pointed, ovoid buds and 2-3 inch double blooms in clusters with mauve and russet blend fading to peach and gold and finally russet tan. There will be flowers of various colors on the shrub at one time. Flowers all summer, 26-40 petals and has a light damask fragrance.
