‘Shin Li’ is a hybrid Asian Pear in the rose family (Rosaceae) and was bred at the University of California. Parentage is 'Kikusui' and 'Tsu Li'. ‘Shin Li’ requires 300 to 500 chill hours and has good fire blight resistance. Plant in full sun in well-drained, moist soils. The tree can be found grafted to dwarf and semi-dwarf rootstock, averaging 10 to 12 feet in height. The pears are large, round with green and russet skin and creamy white flesh that is crisp and juicy, maturing mid to late September. The pear can be stored for 5 to 6 months.
